Referees are present to make sure that rules are followed and that everyone plays fairly. In short, championships are an excellent opportunity for fans and players alike.

Fans cheering wildly, friends and family there to witness your courage and dedication to the team–sometimes the stress of big championships can be overwhelming. Remember that just being a part of the teams taking part is a dream coming true. When you’re warming up, think about how lucky you are to get to play the sport you love. Win or lose, soccer championships are truly a time to remember.

Meet the Junior Eagles

November 15th, 2010

For parents worried about tryouts and cuts, perhaps it’s best to get your child acquainted with the sport of soccer early. To this end, the Ohio Premium Eagles Soccer Club offers a U-8 age group, without such stresses and a dialed back competitive nature. The Junior Eagles or U-8 Juniors, as the program is commonly known, operates using a player pool, meaning no specific teams are kept together over the course of a team. On game day, a player is assigned randomly to a team, then plays the day’s game with that group of players. This allows for players to all train together and get to know one another. Furthermore, this also enables each player to stay with any current recreational league team and get auxiliary training and experience while playing as a part of the Ohio Premier Junior Eagles. The primary goal of the Junior Eagles program is to foster an authentic love for soccer from a young age and build the soccer skills necessary for player development. The program gives younger players access to full-time coaches who will help them grow in an age-appropriate setting, with no added pressure for messing up or making mistakes with the soccer ball. This team free, player pool system helps young players to play soccer simply for fun rather than placing any significant burden to win, yet still helps to develop teamwork and provide healthy social activity.
